I wanted a nas 2 bay and the qnap HS210 is ideal : space-saving, easy to assemble and install. a good buy. Very good product and price/quality ratio is unbeatable. However the ergonomy is not at the top, and the formatting routine of the disks inserted requires copies full. /! \\ force of the X-raid automatic I wanted the JBOD. This is a real plus, you can opt for an NAS super silent or an NAS super fresh. Knowing that in quiet mode in my use and my setup, it does not exceed the 40°. It is a little noisier than my DS211 but the number of disks is doubled while the volume is not. The LED back-lighting up the HP logo is very bright and could interfere in a living room or a room dedicated to home cinema. In short, a good product, cheap, and scalable for a very wide use.. I bought this product primarily to make a backup transparent to my Mac through Time Machine through a Wifi network. The device itself works very well : the assembly is easy, the finish is acceptable (it is not put in a showcase, eh), the Web interface is not a miracle of ergonomics (the options are very rich and there are no wizards), but it puts all the settings available in a form that is pleasant... and also the unit is quiet as promised. You also have a lot of support on the site : apps, updates, reliable, and above all full of tutorials for example, someone who is used to configure Time Machine. So if you follow the tutorial, everything is setup to perfection and the backup starts (after 2 days in Wifi the first time...) Personally I found myself pondering as to whether I would come out all alone (I learned everything I know about computers on the job because of my age(being a great father) now I tell you go there there are no insurmountable difficulties to the contrary. at the time, I find myself with images of my entire hard drive, including the covers of my albums of music. My impression is that the NAS meets 90% of what it promises, that it comes from a good intention, but is not fully developed (or fully tested), which is unfortunately not enough so that I am satisfied, as a developer myself.
